A Night to Remember

antr smallFlowerdale Farm was a proud sponsor of A Night to Remember, Alzheimer’s Australia Fundraising Dinner, held on Saturday 15th September at RACV City Club, 501 Bourke Street, Melbourne.

Michelin starred ‘Demon Chef’ Alvin Leung of Hong Kong brought his revolutionary X-treme Chinese influence, teaming up with a world class line up of chefs who develop the unique five course menu for the night.

Chefs Jeffrey Tan, Chef De Cuisine, IPF Culinary Consultancy Services; Dale Lyman Executive Chef, William Angliss Institute; Philippe Mouchel Executive Chef, PM24; Mark Normoyle Executive Chef, RACV City Club; and Pierrick Boyer Executive Pastry Chef, Le Petit Gateau created a spectacular feast, with each course featuring Flowerdale Farm products.

Flowerdale Farm was proud to support A Night to Remember, with all funds raised assisting Alzheimer’s Australia to support and advocate for people living with dementia, their carers and families.

Flowerdale Farm Gourmet Lunch

feast1On Sunday 16th September Flowerdale Farm hosted a gourmet lunch at its production facility in the picturesque Yarra Valley. This exclusive event involved some of Melbourne’s best chefs including: Grant Flack, Kinsun Ikuei Arakane, Jeffrey Tan, Dale Lyman, Mark Normoyle and Pierrick Boyer Guests enjoyed freshly shucked oysters with citrus caviar and borage flower; cured meats and cheeses with microgreens; roasted Suckling Pig with petite veg salad; grilled Jerusalem artichokes; witlof & popcorn shoot salad; and fennel, blood orange & red vein sorrel salad, all created with fresh Flowerdale Farm products.

Sweets were generously provided by Le Petit Gateau with thanks to Pierrick Boyer. A highlight of the day was a tour of the farm and its facilities. The tour gave guests unique insight into the growing techniques and production processes which define Flowerdale Farm as an industry leader in gourmet fresh produce.

Finger Limes

fingerlimeAlso called Native Limes or Citrus Caviar, Finger Limes are a little known Australian native fruit. Finger Limes are a member of the citrus family found in northern New South Wales and south-eastern Queensland. The edible pulp is a dense mass of individual pearl-like cells which, when bitten, burst open giving a wild infusion of tangy lime. The pulp is available in myriad colours making it a unique visual and textural addition to your meal or drink, as well as adding a fresh citrus flavour.
