Black salsify is an exciting addition as a vegetable side. It can be steamed, boiled, roasted, battered or fried. Try serving with melted butter, salt & black pepper or add a touch of balsamic, chilli & garlic, or zesty vinaigrette. Black Salsify is also great with a white or mustard sauce.
The thin black taproot is long and slender. It has a black skin with white internal flesh.
To maintain freshness, store Flowerdale Farm products between 7-20 degrees C. Rinse lightly under cold clean water before use.
