Caesar Salad with Garlic and Herb Croutons

For 4 people

  • 1 punnet of Flowerdale Farm Garlic and Herb Croutons
  • 3 tablespoon(s) whole egg mayonnaise
  • 100 grams parmesan cheese, shaved
  • 2 anchovy fillets, roughly chopped
  • 4 rashes bacon, rind removed and sliced into 1 cm strips
  • 1 pinch of salt and pepper or to taste
  • 0.25 cup(s) capers, roughly chopped
  • 4 eggs, soft boiled, shelled and halved
  • 1 clove garlic crushed
  • 1 pinch of salt and pepper to taste
  • 250 grams Flowerdale Farm Baby Cos Lettuce
  • 1 tablespoon(s) lemon juice
  • 8 anchovy fillets, roughly chopped

Adjust Quantity


  1. Rinse lettuce, tear up leaves and place in a large serving bowl.
  2. Fry bacon for 2 minutes over high heat, stirring constantly. Drain on paper towel and let cool slightly. Meanwhile, make dressing by mixing all dressing ingredients well in a separate bowl. Season to taste.
  3. Toss desired amount of dressing through lettuce so that leaves are well coated. Top lettuce with bacon, eggs, cheese and anchovies. Season salad with salt and pepper and serve immediately.
